I have a quick question. I'm using Sonar 4 to record and I absolutely can't stand the wav editing in it, is there any way I can record in sonar and then mix in adobe audition? Thanks in advance. BTW, I need to figure this out pretty quick as I'm recording a friend of mine's band over the next few days.

Why Not Just Record And Mix In Audition???

I am using a presonus firestation which only allows for 2 tracks using wdm drivers and audition doesnt support asio... Should have explained. I need all 8 tracks lol.

Yes, you can absolutely record in Sonar and edit in Audition. All you need is direct x. When you install them both you will see audition on the Sonar tools list. you can open this same clips in audition and edit it and automatically it will be processed in sonar once you save in audition. Hope that helps

Thanks Jeyan, I'll try that out. Now all I need to figure out is how to get the latency in Sonar down to something reasonable, lol. If i go under 50ms it makes crackling noises and whatnot. What I'm doing at the moment is recording the drum tracks in sonar and guitars, bass, and vox in audition.. Which is totally confusing to say the least.

if your audition doesn't automaticaly go into the sonar tools menu, i have a program on my computer that will do that for you. you can download it somewhere but i can't remember where i got it. lemme know if you wan it

I'd like to know more about this if possible...I too have Adobe Audition. I don't use it much except for some of the built in editing stuff that's included. Otherwise I'm a big fan of the SONAR 4 product. I looked under tools but do not see the Audition menu item. Does this need to be imported or something?

thanks

Whats wrong with Sonars editing? Works perfect for me, and does it all.
