Anyone have more than one Delta 1010 running with Sonar? Any install difficulties? Did you have to load the drivers CD-Rom again when you installed the second or third Delta? Can you use all of your outs at the same time?
I just got a second Delta 1010 and I don't want to screw up the install. All suggestions, jeers, insults and comments accepted. Like I have a choice.

As far as I've ever heard, installing a 2nd 1010 is pretty painless. I've got only one, but I figured I'd mention it :)

Really? I hope not. Where did you hear that? Did you read somewhere, maybe? Oh well, I'll give it a shot this weekend. Wish me luck, Bro.

I've got two 1010LT's in my machine. It's been awhile. As I recall it was very simple...don't remember if I had to reload the drivers or not but seriously, that should be a simple matter. I've updated my drivers several times over the last couple years without any issues.

The cards live and play nicely together. I can use all the inputs and outputs simultaneously without a hitch. For sure, after you get the card installed, you need to run the hardware profiler in SONAR again so it recognizes the additional I/O's.

Thanks. Bro. I will install this weekend.

2 x Delta 1010s

Installed 2nd PCI card. Racked the my second Delta 1010. Connected my second Delta 10 to my second PCI card. Connected the new 1010 to my mackie 32.8, turned the computer on. Turned console on. Computer saw the new 1010, asked for software, I told it to look for it. It found it. Ran wave Profiler in Sonar. It saw it. 20 ins and outs, Sonar 2.2, Mackie 32ch 8 bus. Easy install. Life is good.

Now you're cookin' with gas!

Good for you...what's the plan with all those inputs now?

Thanks, Punkin. It's not so much the inputs but the use of the outputs that really makes me happy :D I only record one or two instruments or vocals at a time. But when mixing down I got like 14 tracks on some projects. I don't think I'll use all 16 analog outs at the same time, but you never know. As soon as I get into a bigger place, I'll start recording complete bands, miking up the whole drumkit (I don't have that many mics just yet) miking everybody up at once. But yeah, mostly for the outputs is why I'm happy.
