sonar 8 :(

I want to get the most out of my sonar 8 I want to mix my songs edit them everythingg, one problem I'm tottaly lost all I know is recording and dragging and dropping instrumentals and singing to them. I don't know how to use eq or compression. Some one help is there a dvd they make for begginers. I can't find any books all I've found is sonar 8 power! Which is somewhat difficult.
If you guys know of any dvds or books for a begginer let me know
And if you know of something I can purchase online copy an paste a link on here thanks

I just read that one. It's a fantastic resource for all elements of the mixing process, plus it comes with a dvd full of audio samples that demonstrate the concepts being discussed in the book.

there's a great set of instruction films, i think only around $10...unfortunately the guy who narrates them has a thick Scottish accent and I know a few Americans have had difficulty with this...check the Cakewalk site, which is also a great resource..

the mixing engineers handbook is pretty decent so is guerilla home recording
