F funkin182 New member Oct 19, 2010 #2 reaper is cheaper. always remember that ultimately in my limited use of sonar and ableton, they are quite similar. sonar does lots of the sequencing stuff with virtual instruments

T TimOBrien New member Oct 19, 2010 #3 Sonar is about $300. Reaper will set you back $60 (and you can try it out, fully working with only a nag screen) --and we have a LOT of former Sonar users on the Reaper forums-- $240 will buy you a lot of other gear...
