Hello,

I am using Sonar 5 Producer. It froze on me today as I was saving a project.
After rebooting the PC, some of the tracks wavs do not show a wave file, but, however when I play the tracks it plays ok and I can mix them etc etc.

The Wav editor in sonar shows the wavs but the track pane doesn't. Is there a way to refresh it so that the wavs show up? I didn't change my directories either. Any help is appreciated.

Also, I profiled my card in Sonar, saved the project under a different name, etc etc. Still no luck.

Thanks
Kane

I has to do with imaging. Sonar saves images of the wav files. That's how you get what you perceive visually as a wav file. Maybe those files got corrupt. Try deleting all the images out of the image folder and opening the project up again. I could refresh at that point since it has to create new images.

Try increasing the size of your picture cache and this will happen less often.

Open the file aud.ini in a text editor. Look for the line PicCacheMB=20

Raise the 20 to something higher - like 100 or 200 mb, depending on how much hard drive space you have available - and resave under the same name.

That has happened to me alot. I bumped cache up to 260 but did not help. I then flew tracks into Sound Forge, made VERY small change in file so it would ask me if I wanted to save, then back to sonar and all was ok.
