anyone know if 2000 will work with sonar 5? I know it is supposed to be xp only but 2000 ans xp are very similar.

from the System Requirements page for Sonar 5 on Cakewalk DOT com"

"Please Note:

SONAR 5 does not support Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, or 2000."

Sonar 5 will run on Windows 2000, but Cakewalk will not support it if you have issues. I've seen posts in the Sonar forums at Cakewalk to verify this. I don't believe Sonar 5 was tested in Windows 2000 by Cake either, so I guess it's ultimately up to you if you want to try using it in that OS.

I know what Sonar says about only XP but my experience has been that sometimes it isnt always as written. I was wondering if anyone had tried it with 2000.

Thanks Warble, I was just going to set up my second computer with sonar 5. Im use to having 2 machines working in case one has an issue I can quickley switch to the other. I used to use sonar 1.3, and that worked on all my machines. I went to simply upgrade my 2000 to XP but the upgrade isnt for 2000. I would have to get XP prof. I think. So I thought I might just try sonar 5 with 2000.
