Ok, i tried both Line In and Stereo Mix, neither of them worked. This just seems off to me because i can hear my sound and voice from the Mic in the headphones perfectly fine (prolly means nothing) but they wont come as one. Seems like we've tried a few different things and what do you think we've narrowed it down to? A new soundcard right? thanks again
 
yeah dude, you're going to have to get a soundcard that is actually designed (albeit however simple) for multitrack recording. You're not going to find it at Wal-Mart or Best Buy. The M-audio stuff is very reliable from what I have seen and it works with any windows based software (Cubase, Nuendo, Cakewalk, etc) and now has Protools M-Powered as an option.

Alright koo, i think ill do that then, itll take me a minute to get it. I wont be able to get it until the end of the month, christmas is killin me.I just found one on ebay for a lil cheaper so that worked out.I think ill get that 2nd one FireWire 410 and i have one last question. I have a different Microphone input than the one that one shows.My computer monitor is permanantly dark and i cant see some black features on the picture,but it looks like it shows the input for the one plug and i have a thick round cord i think its a CGM cable and it has 3 prongs in it, is there some kind of adapter i might be able to get because im satisfied with my Mic. Thanks.

I didn't ask if you guys were women did I? I must have forgot to ask. Who do you think you are talking to me like that? First off i know your gay because you used the word "pot" so i automatically know im talking to someone who was raised on house chores and homework. NONSENSICAL? Like i dont get who you people think you are, all these words and comments you say make you sound stupid and i bet you would'nt say these things in person. So let's get real guys, forums are for help and i need help, i was getting help until someone came from nowhere and brought up a past post from me which was already reconciled as you can see from the other posts. You have no idea what the atmosphere is like in this forum. Yes, it is a place to get information, but it is also a social situation to a certain extent. Any time you're communicating with another person it's social. If you show up out of nowhere acting like an ass, people are going to treat you like one. Don't get mad at other people simply because you have no idea how to interact with them. Nobody in here has even begun to give you a REAL hard time. I am actually amazed that some of these guys actually decided to try and help you. The things that these guys have said to you are sensible. You're the one that's trying to start a playground fight out of it. An attitude like yours pisses people off. Accept that. Pirated software pisses people off. Accept that also. You are dabbling in a highly technical field. You need to learn how to talk to people in terms that apply to that field. You just made fun of somebody for saying "pot". Doesn't it only seem fair that somebody would criticize you for "improper" terminology as well? Do you not realize how moronic that is? If you're going to hide behind being "from tha hood" then just shut up and go sell some drugs and shoot somebody or something..... The M-audio Firewire 410 has XLR inputs, 1/4 inch, and TRS. Unless your mic is USB, you'll be fine. Bonus on the Firewire 410, it has 2 headphone outs, as opposed to one on the Firebox.
