I am running the firewire 410 through the firewire port on my
Soundblaster Audigy 2 card. I hear the audio from windows xp
(Media player etc) just fine. When I try to listen to the audio
and midi files on Cakewalk Sonar3 Producer Edition, I am not
getting any sound. I chose both the Firewire 410 and the Audigy 2 as the input and output devices in both MIDI and audio.

Do you know why I can not hear the audio from Sonar?

Hmmm..
To hear the audio tracks, I would have Sonars Main output Bus set to the 410 analog outs feeding your monitors (somehow).
To hear Midi, the midi tracks will have to have Audigy Synth A or B as their output device (each and every midi track). The Audigy outputs will also need to be feeding your Monitors. Presumably you have a mixer between 410, Audigy and Monitors?
The 410 cannot play directly from midi tracks as it has no midi synth. The only midi you can play over the the 410 will be the output of softsynth plugins as they feed out as audio according to their associated midi tracks.

I'm putting the responses I've gotten in case anyone else has this problem.

Apparently the Audigy does not work with the Firewire 410, that is what M-Audio told me. Here is the link for compatible Firewire cards.

Here is waht Cakewalk told me;

Only select the 410 drivers under Options | Audio | Drivers and then try it again. If you are using MIDI, then you will need to setup a DXi to hear MIDI sound. In order to use a DXi instrument you first need to setup an audio track. So add an audio track and choose your audio card for the Out. Next, click on the FX box in that track and choose the DXi instrument that you want. Then in your MIDI track choose the DXi instrument for your Out. You can also go here for on online tutorial on using a DXi:
