I'M BLESSED.......
I record primarily on my standalone, so I import some things from Reason 2.0 and other software into my standalone.
My question is "Who knows the sequence of importing data from Reason to Sonar? I 've made killer stuff in Reason, I just don't know how to import it into Sonar..... That way I can interchange vocals using both sytems etc.......I like my standalone because I have learned alot of the ins and outs. Plus I like the ability to have hands on sliders/knobs, and pushing actual buttons...

I know that Sonar 3 supports rewire instruments, but I'm not sure about 2.Punch in "rewire" on your help tab, there may be sometnig in there that will help you play Reason from within Sonar.

Reason

You can rewire reason to sonar pretty easily. With both installed on your system.
1. Open sonar 1st and the start a new project.
2. Go to the insert tab and then down to rewire device. Reason should be an option here click on reason.
3. A box should pop up offering you options for the tracks that will be created for your rewire device. Normally I check one midi pair and 1st audio pair.
4. Open reason. With sonar as the master, reason should be synced up with it now. When you press play in sonar, both sequencers should start.
5.To record reason you have to do that on another track. Make sure your input to that track on the I/O tab in sonar is from your sound card and not directly from reasons output tracks.. Arm this track for record and when you're ready record as much as you like...

Hope this helps

If you can't see the rewire options in the insert menu then you will have to down load the patch from the Cakewalk site.
