hello evreybody, looking to start into buying a mixer for recording, im torn about what to buy though, please hear me out. I have a computer - 1.5ghz, with 500+ megs of ram, 80 GB hard drive. 3 open pci slots, no AGP
Now what we are doing is building two rooms, one for ISO, _ Vocals, to recording from amps, and drums and such, and another room for all the stuff ( control room ).. i just ordered a couple SM57's. What im looking for is something that is mostly computer intergrated... i was looking at the Roland Si 24 , ( but then i realized it wasnt the full package that comes with the PCI card and software ) But i THINK thats what i was looking for right ? the bassic jist, or is that something completly diffrent.
is there anything similar ? which is half decent ?
Im looking for at least 8 channels i can record seperately in to my computer and edit in real time, and after being recorded.
sorry for being such a dumb nusance... but just looking for info on what i need, any reccomendations on computer mixer would be appretiated... ( around or under 1,000 dollars please for the complet " system " im looking for in my head.
