neil,

clarify what you want the group to look at. pick a song and post lyrics. Only then does the conversation begin.

you get out of it what you put into it.

Thanks for the tips guys, I am not Joe's brother - though I am a fan!

I was just looking to get some general response on the design of the site however I've noticed the Marketing Thread is probably more relvant for this,

I'd still love anybody to comment on the songs, the lyrics are displayed while the songs are playing so I won't hog space by posting them here too.

The songs are divided by genre so just take a listen to whatever style floats your boat.

I appreciate and agree the comment about getting out of the forum what you put in

hey neil,

I checked out the page.

the layout is particularly cool with the chords, lyrics and sound samples. you did well in the design of things. I know as a fellow musician, I always appreciate someone who wants to share info about their songs.

As for comments, why not add some anectodes about how some of the songs came to be? What I mean is give yourselves some room to tell the story of the song rather than say it's "really emotional" or "Incredibly catchy." In fact, I would completely steer clear of boasting about your music on the site. Let the music speak for itself. I think the internet reader is a bit more skeptical when they read something like that.

If you REALLY want to make it look like you're the next rising star, format the entire page as if it were written by your promotions company. It gives your page an air of importance instead of a hobbyist with a webpage for his friends.

I also took a double take at your reviews in The Big Issue. Is it the same paper the homeless guys pester you to buy in the UK?

Good page Neil.

Thanks for the positive remarks and constructive ideas Stone.
I'm just soaking up all the ideas I get from friends and forum readers about how to improve the site.

Yeah, The Big Issues is the magazine that homeless people badger you into buying! They did a few reviews of some of the band's gigs and recordings in Dublin, Ireland.

Thanks again!
