SOLO not consistent

Sometimes when I solo a channel, the master buss also solos and I can hear that 1 track. Sometimes the master buss DOES NOT solo too. I have to solo that also. I cant figure out why sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Any ideas. I do audio for TV so I have several templates. Maybe one of them got corrupt and I just need to rebuild a template. Thanks.

Check to see if 'Solo Defeat' is toggled on the master buss. It would be lit up orange 'D' above the master fader. Right click on the master channel to toggle it off.

Or the track you are trying to solo isn't routed to the master buss somewhere down the line...
