ya currently i have fruity loops 8 and reason but want to know what is the best software or "workstation" for creating my beats. i hear pro tools is good but requires alota stuff. also like what do the pros actualy use to make their beats such as people like 50 cent, lil wayne or jay-z as some examples or even insane clown posse(a group i listen to)

First,...buy the software...then you will want to learn how to use what your hard earned dollar spent. :)

well like whats some of the good programs that for now dont require a midi and the good ones that would require a midi because i plan on getting them

fruity loops and reason are both great places to start.
Don't worry about pro tools. I wouldn't recommend it for making beats anyway.
Fruity loops is perfect for that.

alright i guess im sticking with reason and fruity til i got midi prolly i just thought there where better ones. i always was courious tho what do the pros use to make their beats

From my Newbie Guide:

Plenty of software around to record for FREE to start out on--

Audacity: http://audacity.sourceforge.net (multi-track with VST support)
Wavosaur: http://www.wavosaur.com/ (a stereo audio file editor with VST support)\
Kristal: http://www.kreatives.org/kristal/
Other freebies and shareware: www.hitsquad.com/smm

Another great option is REAPER at http://www.cockos.com/reaper/ (It's $50 but runs for free until you get guilty enough to pay for it...)
I use Reaper and highly reccomend it...

Music Notation and MIDI recording: Melody Assistant ($25) and Harmony Assistant ($80) have the power of $600 notation packages - http://myriad-online.com
Demo you can try on the website.

And you can go out to any Barnes&Noble or Borders and pick up "Computer Music" magazine - they have a full FREE studio suite in every issue's DVD, including sequencers, plugins and tons of audio samples. (November 2006 they gave away a full copy of SamplitudeV8SE worth $150, November 2007-on the racks Dec in the US- they gave away SamplitudeV9SE. It pays to watch 'em for giveaways...)

I'd say MPC workstation's are the ideal tool for making beats. if you want to go the ghetto MPC route, you can try Novation's SL25, which has pad triggers to use with your FL studio. it's not really necessary though.
