I might be good in music production but not good in communicating the right way between singers and managers.
I just produced music video for a very talented girl. The thing is, of course, I want to search good artist my way and not there way. But the mom of this girl I produced wants me to produce his friend's daughter which I dont like. I dont know what to say and if I say no, she might not let me do another recording of her daughter or there maybe un awkward moment when we work together. How do I tell her? There is no money involve on this project.

"I'd love to be able to, but I can't."

Also...this one can get you out of a speeding ticket- "I have diarrhea :o"
:laughings:

That sounds like your out right there. "I'd love to produce your friend's daughter, but - as you know - I'm doing this for free as a hobby, and I just don't have the time to pick up that much more work."

Alternatively, "Meh... your friend's daughter is kind of lame. I'll pass." :D

LOL, it'd probably be best to suck it up and go 'head and produce for the girl. Maybe you two could actually get along and become friends. =D

Quote a really high rate. Your up front time is more expensive when there's zero promotional potential.

Is the daughter cute? Maybe you can arrange a payment in other ways.........

Tell her that she need work and that you will not record her. Tough to hear but it will end the misguided belief that she can sing.
