I LOST a $1,000 BONUS that was going to net me an AW16G.

Other than that the joy of watching my kids get lots of stuff and a DVD player.
 
I got a dbx 166 compressor... and treated myself to some used ns-10's at a pawn shop for $200 :) I figgure if i dont like them i can sell them for more on ebay... but after listening to some cd's on them i think I'm gonna like em alot. But who knows

I got nuffin' and that was an order. I didn't want my wife (a housewife) spending MY money on something SHE liked more than I would! But I think I'm getting me a new soundcard for the new year...:D

Just kidding.

Actually, my wife came down with a bug that pretty much messed things up for her. I'm OK so far... not a good time to get sick.

This fall I did some advance shopping, though, and finally set myself up with something I can record with. Some decent mics (a C3, pair of B1s and a pair of 603s), a couple of preamps, an AKAI 16 tracker and some basic active monitors. Also completed a nice, basic live rig. VISA bill arrived yesterday. I haven't opened it yet, but I notice it's smoking a little. Now to figure all this stuff out...
 
the only one I could afford, Beezoboy, a Neumann KM184 ;-) I just set up a home recording studio and couldn't afford more. It's perfect for my sax recording, though. I'll get a large condensor Neumann when I saved some money.

A Levis guitar strap for the Godin (can't figure out which end goes where)
Elixers for the Godin and Webber (I don't sound good, but the guitars will in case someone else plays them)

Might have to go out and buy myself a La Patrie Estude classical just so I can say I got something BIG.:D
 
Thats what I want for my first Nemann. Except when I get the dough I am going to get the matched pair. This is argually one of the best SD condenser's out there. Good choice.

That will work great on acoustic, and even guitar cab. When you get another one they will be very useful for stereo sources.

I got a footpedal for my SR-16...
I got some MONEY...

But I got myself:
2 MXL-990's from Musicians Friend
6 20' XLR cables from Musicians Friend...
another ECM-8000...
one of those cool 2 mic adaptors for my ECM-8000's to be used like overheads...

and for my birthday, which is Jan. 19, I want to get a roadcase for my Fender Power Chorus.

Where am I getting the money?

I thought that my DAW problem was hardware, but after upgrading, figured out that it wasn't... but at least now I have a dedicated audio drive!
