wow... nice deal you got on that. my buddy has that same mixer, and it cost him double that if i remember correctly...

its a nice little mixer though, even for double the price you paid

Haha, thanks. I spent a long time waiting to get it at a really good price. I just hope i don't completely suck at using it...

Don't be scared.

Don't be afraid to experiment.

Do be careful when using phantom power. When using condensors, the safest practice is to always connect the mic to the mixer before turning phantom power on, and then do the reverse when you're done.

Mackies are pretty solid, and you'll get a lot of use outta that baby.

Thanks much. I'll keep that in mind... when I get a mic that needs phantom power. I'm considering the SP B-1.. but I need to get the cash first. For now, my crappy Nady SP-5 and SM-57 will suffice.
