so i got my delta 44..

if i get a pair of powered monitors (hopefully no more then 300 dollars...i'm looking to spend 200-300 though)... how can i run:

computer sound (from delta 44) to the monitors...and still be able to run a headphone out from those (For recording of course)...without the use of a mixer?

is this possible even? haah.

while i'm at it...

yeah while i'm at it...here is the list i am looking at:

Edirol MA-10D Amplified Digital Micro Monitor Pair ($140)
Edirol MA-20D Digital Stereo Micro Monitor Pair ($270)
M-Audio SP-5B Studiophile Active Monitors ($200)

any more suggestions? or which out of those? i know i've been reading old posts here..but still... haha.

thanks

You will need some type of headphone amp (or mixer with headphone amp). You can get them for $40 or $50.

I've never used the delta 44, but acording to the picture it has 4 mono outs, right? set one and two as your main left and rights (hard panning them in the software you have) and take three and four into a headphone amp. you can get them for dirt cheap, but i highly reccomend going for the behringer rackmount one. it has tons of great features and sounds amazing.

Yeah,
I use out 1 and 2, it goes through a few adapters and then to headphones for tracking. Since Mixing comes later, I find it easier to make the headphone tracking outputs the immediate ones.

I'll be getting a headphone amp soon. But I've got a few adapters going to another adapter, sometimes to another adapter that ends at two total headphones for tracking. One for me, one for the other person. Since my project is of two people right now.

And then I have out 3 go to the left in of my power amp, and out 4 the right right of my power amp. And from there- to my monitors.
