so I took the Shure condenser....

I was at GC a couple of months ago for the LIST....and signed up for the free give-away that day....$200 spending spree...

I was looking for a small condenser mic and I was shown an assortment of mics....the MXL types were discounted from the advertised price...he was offering 40% off....but he wouldn't budge on the Shure's.....last year I got an AT3035 for $149.....

....so I went off and checked out the Taylor 414CE and the Gibson LP mahogony (wish list)....and what do you know....I win the $200....so I grab a Shure KSM109 and a cheap mic stand and walk.....

The other mics that I have are a Shure Sm57 and the AT3035....and the KSM109 is now my first choice for acoustic guitar and guitar cab....

...so how did I do....

Anything free is a great deal...didn't cost you a cent more than you would've spent!

Why'd you pick that Shure? Anything in particular stick out more than whatever else was there and available? Have you compared it to anything else?
