So I found some Yorkville YSM1p's in Europe...

Welcome to Europe, and get Tannoy Reveal Actives. They are €295 each at the same place and really good. I think you may even be able to find them cheaper somewhere else.
 
A slightly better deal....

After snooping around the Yorkville website, I found the "international" page and email everyone in Europe. Teac Deutschland GmbH will sell them to me for 315 Euros per piece....that's a little better (just under $800 for the pair), but DAMN.....still.

If I were to buy them from the US (assuming that I could get the EU voltage version of the product...which I can't....and the power is NOT switchable) the shipping would put the price close to $800 anyway (the YSM1p's are oversize and overweight).

Basically they are 20 Euros more (per unit) than the Tannoy Reveals in Europe. Are they worth it??

I can only trust hearsay on this, but from what I understand the Tannoys are supposed to better. It's very much a matter of taste of course, but from those reviews I have seen, this seems to be the conclusion.

But, you should probably have a listen yourself.
