i am liking a few of the m-audio firewire interfaces; specifically, the firewire audiophile and 410. the problem, though, is that although they claim to be 4-in/*-out devices, i suspect that m-audio is marketing them as such because they can provide two channels of spidf input and two channels of analog. i think that's somewhat misleading.
can anybody confirm this? i like the looks of these products, but it'd suck if i have to go for the 18/14, which is twice as expensive, in order to get a 4-input box that can ACTUALLY handle 4 inputs...
