Im flex timing a live drum take i did with my band

We didn't play to a click, but i have figured out the BPM, and started putting all the beats in place

The only issue with this is the when the drummer does snare rolls

In the close mic they sound fine and normal, but in the OH they sound really dodgy, like phasey, but i have phase lock on

Im using slicing mode, with gap fill on, 0.5s decay and 100% slice length

Please help me out here someone :(

Since you didn't play to a click, even if you have figured out the rough BPM, the timing will still fluctuate a bit throughout the song. Maybe look into Logic's beat mapping utility?

As for Flexing, I usually put my decay time at infinity (inf s) when I'm quantizing drums. For the rolls you might just have to play with them until they sound right. Try Flexing as little as possible in the rolls - maybe just one flex marker before the roll and another after it. If you're really having trouble, try finding a roll that was played perfectly that doesn't need any Flexing and paste it in every time there is a roll that won't Flex properly.
