Snare Mixing Question

if its already recorded and you dont want to redo it all, trigger a sample and be done with it.

dont tell anyone.. if you're good enough with it, NOBODY will know.

i had a song with all DFH samples and i would have got over everyone, except RAMI noticed that my hihat was panned dead center!! i forgot to move it...

Did you EQ the snare prior to listening to it w/in the mix? That could be the issue if it's not a phase problem.

Only EQ within the context of the entire mix.

ok so it gets thin when you add guitars. Cna youset up a sweepable EQ, notch it and drob about 5-10 db and sweep it on the guitars (or other tracks) and see if you find a frequency where the snare comes back?
If the guitars sound good still after adjsuting the q and the amount of cut, you are done. Sure everyone would love to track perfectly and never have to EQ, but if it sounds good, whatever.
