PC load letter?
Is it common to use a mono reverb on a snare drum, or is there a specific setting that might effect the width of a reverb?

I reealize im working with relatively poor plugins compared to the outboard units they might have in big studios, but a problem i always have with snare drum reverb is that the snare drum sounds way to wide. I've noticed specifically with coldplay, the snare drum is open and loose sounding, loose being more of the drum itself, yet very focused and centered in the mix.

I realize the wet/dry mix will make the sound more mono, or more like the original, but i want the reverb, just focused, i guess you could call it

Remember to set the predelay to zero or close to zero for drum reverb. Mayby xomebody could explain this in understandable sperms beacuse i'm kind of drunk.

and there are a ton here listed under effectshttp://www.studiocovers.com/

Actually a little predelay (10-30-ms) can help keep the snare from getting lost in the reverb. I prefere a stereo reverb.

Try recording the reverb as a new pair of tracks then you can pan them in.
It seems that with the few effects plugs I have, panning for the outputs is a sorely missing feature. Especially for delay voices.
