snap help

hey guys, again...new to this..sorry

can someone please explain the snappign tool to me.

basically im trying to get the bottom drum part to snap to the red arrow bar (ie not a bolder one as paer others insmaller red circles)

is there a key I can hold ie ctrl etc to make it snap as i drag?

any hints would be greatly appreciated.

The drop down box that says 'bar'.....it's in the top right of your picture.....change it to 'beat'.
