Hi there, I'm relatively new to recording, but know the basics. I'm currently recording with an sm57 and focusrite saffire le soundcard, very easy to use and working perfectly, until yesterday when I came to record, and the mic volume output is incredibly low. The pre-amp gain etc is up, and I've checked mic vol's in windows vista etc, also the volume level is normal when using the line in, instead of xlr inputs. I just can't understand how one day it was working and the next it isn't, is there anybody that can help? Could it be a problem with the mic, lead, pre-amp/soundcard.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, it's driving me nuts!
