sm57 quick question

on the top of my sm57, the part where you speak into with the mesh, it kidna spins around, but it doesnt come off or anything. is it supposed to be able to do that? nothing seems to be the matter, but just making sure.
 
Yep, it's supposed to do that.

Some say, when you spin it 534 times, it sounds like a Neumann U47...I don't know about that though...:p

Actually, the Neumann stops working at that point. The 57 just takes on that vintage look and keeps on singing. :D
