My biggest regret in life was missing this thread until now.
So here's my input, albeit late and possibly redundant.
The Shure Sm57 is a 3 phase microphone. Therefore it needs to be pluged into a standard 3 phase electrical panel. Now, bear in mind that this work absolutely NEEDS to be done by a licensed electrician. Basically, with a screwdriver, you pry out a circuit breaker on the 3 phase panel, and jam the mic into the space you've created. Now hit record and have a friend call an ambulance.
