Finally... I have the ability to load decent size samples into my Kurzweil, and I tried to give the "throaty" saxophone a spin. Whatcha think? Slutty enuff??? :D

Not bad, but the sax is not really realistic - it's got that "synth-ness" to it - especially in transitions between lower and upper registers....

Decent enough effort though......!
 
not a bad sounding sax. The K has some good sounding samples. You hammering away at that slutty feel too :) you could probly fake that out real good with a little lush room on it and some eq.

It's extremely difficult to use patches for solos (except maybe on synth solos!) -- for many instruments, you might get away with it on rhythm beds, but never on lead parts!

Need solos?? For the most part, get the real thing!!!
 
The real thing? No real thing around SW Florida, dude. Bum-phuck Egypt's-ville. Besides, where could I find a decent sax player at 1 oclock in the morning here in Egypy, anyway? But I do hear what you are saying!

Cool Jam ,but it still has that synth fell during the louder and higher notes.Great title...sell a million copies with that alone...oh shit!! I started to take my own clothes off!Great!Now I'm naked ...again,and alone....again
 
Actually.......not too bad a sax patch. Speaking as a sax player I expected to hate it but it's not bad even though it's clearly not real; it's not the worst I've ever heard. You can get sax players right here at Homerec.....I'm one of them. :)

I think I may have the balls nowadays to play with the programming and give that patch a "reality check", some meat, depth...or whatever. What is missing in that patch, Bob? Your opinion as a sax player would be most appreciated :) ... LOL....at least I can give it a college try. Thanks for listening guys! YOUBEDABESTESESSSS!
