Finally... I have the ability to load decent size samples into my Kurzweil, and I tried to give the "throaty" saxophone a spin. Whatcha think? Slutty enuff???

Not bad, but the sax is not really realistic - it's got that "synth-ness" to it - especially in transitions between lower and upper registers....

Decent enough effort though......!

not a bad sounding sax. The K has some good sounding samples. You hammering away at that slutty feel too you could probly fake that out real good with a little lush room on it and some eq.

It's extremely difficult to use patches for solos (except maybe on synth solos!) -- for many instruments, you might get away with it on rhythm beds, but never on lead parts!

Need solos?? For the most part, get the real thing!!!

Actually.......not too bad a sax patch. Speaking as a sax player I expected to hate it but it's not bad even though it's clearly not real; it's not the worst I've ever heard. You can get sax players right here at Homerec.....I'm one of them.
