Simple Home PA System

I would like to set up a cheap PA system at home, just to sing into so I can improve my voice. I seem to be yelling to hear my voice over me playing. I have a mic, M-Audio MobilePre, Harman Kardon stereo and some JBL speakers. Can I use what I have with a small addition of a key component or two? Now my set up is mic and bass into the MobilePre and play with my computer speakers volume. It's not that good.

As you can see, help is needed.

You would be better off plugging a set of headphones into the mobile pre.

I hooked up the headphones and it's good. But I want to hear my voice in stereo and now it's one channel for my voice and one for my bass. If I get splitters then I still won't be able to adjust the levels evenly. Is there anything out there that would help in this case? I don't have to stick with the MobilePre.

You should get a small mixer and use that instead of the mobile pre.
