Hi, Folks...

I was so thrilled that I was about to purchase a Shure 7B, but a friend of mine who´s in Japan now
is having difficulties to find this great mic.

Assuming that he doesnt find it, which one would you guys recommed at the same price range?

Thanx in advance

The SM7b's from Japan are fully radiated!

I'll get my coat and hat.

I was wondering that myself...

It´s just an opportunity. He´s there and he can buy it for the fair price US$ 360. I will explain in numbers:

If I purchase this mic here in Brazil, due taxes and seller´s profit the price reachs this insane number: US$ 1117,2 :cursing:

´nuff said?

Have you contacted a Guitar Center in the US for a quote? That price is stupid. You could damn near fly to the US and buy it yourself for that much money. How about Ebay, international sales are not uncommon.

I just looked up GC's policy, they DO offer international shipping.

Thanx man. It´s a possibility as well. But I´m afraid that as soon as the mic reaches the Brazil soil, the officers will tax a sort of 50% of the value on it. I mean, it´s less than the price I mentioned above, but it´s still damageful to my pocket.

Find a private seller who will sell to you then mark it as a gift when mailed. :thumbs up:

hi,

"soundhouse" has them for 35800 yen (no affiliation). (That's the lowest price shown at "kakaku.com"(a consumer pricing site).) I've seen them used for less occasionally, but they seem to sell pretty quickly (and I'm assuming you don't have much time to wait).

That was my first choice. I´ve pointed this store for this friend. But it´s net store, you can´t buy directly.

The price was indeed good! :thumbs up: I´ve showed him the options of consumer site price. Waiting for an answer :eatpopcorn:

FWIW, they have a showroom where you can apparently order and pick up goods from their online store:

(the link which I can't post since I don't have the required number of posts.)
