hi guys, it's been a while.
well, here is the question I am posing:
can someone please shed some light on the benefits of a setup like the Roland VS2000CD? http://www.zzounds.com/a--2676837/item--ROLVS2000CD
My normal setup was a Delta 1010 and an Alesis Studio 32.
Here's the thing - I sold the Delta 1010 a while ago because I wasn't doing much recording - and now that I am getting back in the swing, I need something that I can cart around a little easier, something that might be a bit more accessible, and something I can dump audio from onto my computer for editing later. I do simple solo stuff - most of it is multiple instrument, but always tracked - by myself - for theatrical production. I'm a composer, and a sound designer for theatre (as well as a lighting designer, as some of you might remember - the artist guy). I have pondered this question for some time now, and I am hoping someone can either A) shed some light on this subject for me, or B) at least tell me a better DAW than the Roland. I like the extra monitor, and I like being able to access things with a mouse.
Does anyone have any insight? Please help. I'd certainly appreciate it.
