Useless Thoughts
im running my mics into a behringer xenyx 802 mixer currently. looking to eget a cheap (30$) art tube preamp, to rn my mic into this then output this into my xenyx. ive heard it own make a difference since it all is running into the behringer preamp anyways, is this true?

If the pre-amp you are buying is a cheap one and you are using a xenyx 802 personally I would not bother. I suspect you are talking about a ART tube MP, it does get good reviews but the difference would depend on the mic you are using as well.

However the other part of the question about the xenyx 802 pres after the art, you can run the Art output into a line input on the xenyx 802 and therefore not use the pre at all on the xenyx 802.

Cheers
Alan.

+1. Smart to save up for something a step above. For instance, the DMP3. Above that, the RNP.

thanks, i know a bit about preamps but some how didnt think about bypassing the preamp on a different channel on the mixer. brilliant.
