Sorry for the simple question, but hey, we all need the simple ones in between the super hard ones - right?
I am brand new to computer-based recording (although I used a Roland VS880EX workstations years ago). I recently purchased a M-Audio Fast Track Pro, which came with ProTool Essentials M-Powered 8.
I plug in a single USB to power the interface, and a single instrument into the input. I open PT, and start a new track (for instrument). I open the mixer and specify the input as interface. There is my signal jumping up. I hit REC on the mixer channel, and REC on the Transporter. I then hit PLAY to start recording, but it never seems to record. I am just starting, but I cant seem to even get to the basics : )
Thanks for your help.
