does anyone know this serie? im thinking about a pg58. How do they compare to the sm58 appart from the lower price?

They are budget mics. The PG series don't sound as good as the SMs, and aren't as rugged. They also don't fit in half the mic clips out there.
They have an on/off switch, which I would recommend taping in the on position, as the switch is the thing that always goes first.
If you can't budget for the SM58, or don't want to wait, a PG will get you on tape. If you can hold off and get an SM, do it. :)

hay..
i have a PG48 and a SM57
the pg is ok for the price but in live stuff it get a ton of feedback and so dus the PG58 (friend has one) i would suggest holding ur breath a little longer and getting a SM, so i think the difference is many the less feedback stuff and a bit more tone and less hiss

monkey funk

I have a pg-57, and in my studio it is very regularly used as a bottom snare mic. Sounds great there....

Any mic with a switch was designed for PA use. So you can expect a good but not very broad response range. Most PA mics deliberately have no really low bass so that they do not pic up vibrations from foot traffic.
