At first i was looking everywhere for a beyerdynamic Opus 69 but no where had it. I first tried Digital Village, then Studio Spares . i even phoned up beyerdynamic dealers in sussex and even they have'nt any in stock they have to fly them over from germany.
I knew I would have had to wait a while so i managed to get a Beta 87a from Digital village for under £200 infact I got mine at a deal £190.00.
I tried it out tonight and it really is a lovely mic. A nice open detailed sound, even when e'q'd (it does'nt hardly need any) but I tweaked it just a little and it still sounded musical not harsh at all. really warm mic plus very sturdy.
I am well pleased.
