Hey guys! Great forum you've got, here! I'm pretty sure I'll be around pretty much everyday, now that I found it! :-) Anyway, straight to the point. Here's the situation: I want to buy a microphone, mostly for vocals and some acoustic guitar. So, I was wondering what to buy, keeping in mind that I don't want to spend more than $150. So, I found AKG c900 (condenser) for $70 and the classic Shure Beta 58a (dynamic), which costs about $120. Which one would you recommend, and why? Any other recommendations at this price range?

Moreover, has anyone here tried AKg C535 EB? any opinions on that?

thanks in advance,
Menelaos Megariotis

You have to try the 535 EB to hear if it's bringing out sibilance in your voice.
Otherwise an excellent pick.

Is this for home recording only, or also for live?

mostly for recording. I suppose i'll use it for live someday as well, but I still have to find a full band first ;)
