Shure 545 Question

Does the Shure 545 have to have a special cable? I was thinking about bidding on one on eBay that was mentioned not to have a cable, and I wondered if that was important. I never knew mics had to be used with specific cables.

nope. the 545 is just like an SM57 and take a regular XLR.

......at least, all of the ones i've seen have been.

Okay, cool. The ebay ad here was making me think it needed a specific cable.

The 545 and 545S use a four pin Amphenol plug. Shure has PDFs for all discontinued models here-
