do you still have the heads that came with it on??

i replaced mine immediatley after i got my kit

or wait.. maybe those are aquarians? or evans?

the reso heads, kick and snare heads are original. the tom batter heads are Mapex, which are remos. the tom heads sound awesome though, the previous owner really knew how to tune em up! snare sounds nice too, a little ringy, but nice.

oh but i do not like the kick at all! it needs a hole in the front, i think i'm gonna put Evans EMAD on it.

i was kind of scared about this splash at first, since it's 802 which is a budget line, but it actually has a cool sound that i like very much.

My Kit

Hey. Heres a few pics of my ddrum "ash pocket" in anaheim orange finish.
This kit sounds amazing and the finish is stunning. all the toms and snare have die cast hoops, the kick has 20 lugs and as you can see all the lugs and hoops are all plated in black nickle chrome which i think looks amazing! I dont have a ride cymbal set up in these pics cause its actually in the mail so its not here yet..I have a 20" A custom ping ride on the way. My hats are 13" A custom mastersounds..I love them they sound great. I want to get 1 more crash..a couple of splashes and a china. I also have a Tama iron cobra double kick on the way too. Cheers!

OK, here's my Gretsch kit that I've had since 1986. Originally it came with 4 melodic toms (12", 13", 14", 15"), but over time I've pared it down to the standard 5-piece kit (using the 13" and 14" toms). The floor tom is an 18". I call it "The Cannon."

EDIT: The snare is not the original - I'm currently using a Pearl "Mahogany Classic Limited Edition." I still have the Gretsch snare, but the shell has warped and needs the care of a professional to get it playable again..
