And (might sound stupid:facepalm:) was wondering if putting these envelope pads on my wall
would help in any way:o

Any help is appreciated.:thumbs up:

Stand in the room and talk then lift one of those pads up to head height and move it around.
See what kind of difference you observe.

Now, do the same with 8" insulation and see what you observe. ;)

I don't have any 8" thick insulation but...
I hear a difference

THEY'RE GOING UP!!

Lol.
My suggestion was meant to illustrate that those pads probably aren't going to be helpful.
If you hear a difference it'll probably be in the highs, like putting tissue over tweeters.

Still, we learn from experience so put them up and see how it benefits you, if at all.

I used 8" insulation as a comparison because it's big and dense enough to make a meaningful difference.
Stuff like that can tame lower frequency issues in a small room.

Have a look in the studio building forum. There's a lot of great advice that'll apply to a room like yours. :)

I'll definitely start lurking :thumbs up:

Are those sheets of "bubble rap"??? I would think that would act more as a reflector that an absorber - creating the opposit effect than what I would anticipate you would want (not to mentioned the possible fire risk)

If you have any kind of fire, you'll definitely die faster and more horribly due to the toxins in the plastic....
