Hi guys, I do all my recording in my room and I use my house speakers as monitors.

I'm about to buy Event Ps6's but keep in mind that my room will not be acoustically treated and no speacial EQ will be added.

Will it still be worth it event thought there are in my bed room?

Thanks.

Yes...

BTW - ya gotta pay attention to mids on those Events - they can be a little too forgiving!

Bruce, what would you suggest instead of the Events that are in the $500 range?

The only monitors I tried out were the Ps6's, Ps8's, and some really, really small M-audio monitors.

--- Any good word on the Event TR8-N Tuned monitors? What makes them so special at $500 a pair?

If you are in an acoustically challenged room, you are gonna want a smaller monitore with a smaller bass response.....

tr5-n's ? .....

You may want to try out some Yorkville YSM1's ? they are light on the bottom end too.

Good luck
Pier

I agree with Pier - why not check out the Yorkies?

I would get York's but they are passive.

Now I'm thinking of the JBL's but it's a $100 more then the Events. grrrrrrr

Oh what to do...

hey just thought i'd throw in my 2 cents here. got a pair of Alesis MkII powered monitors (433.00 everything included) about 3 months ago. They are amazing. Listened to every pair of mintors in every store I could and came to the Alesis decision along with most of the sales reps. anyway, check em out. I use them in my studio/bedroom and they are amazing! peace the dude

I ordered my monitors in my livingroom. But, I suppose that you can order them in your bedroom, kitchen, dining room.etc.etc.

While Alesis monitors can be usable - they can hardly be called "amazing" by any stretch of the definition.

Bear, Don't you be bad mouthing the Dude's monitors. They really tie the room together.
