Just like looking for a regular job - is it a good strategy to contact "select" management companies who, for instance, are already working with artists who, in your own humble opinion, just might turn a solid dollar for the management company - if all the right ingredients are in the pot?
For instance, name a few artists that some relatively "big" company is working with - but the artist just hasn't found the right "niche" - the company is still working with them WAAAAY before they turn around and put money on another BRAND NEW NEWBIE . . . its just not good business . . . but come up with something you think THAT ARTIST is missing - beat wise, song idea wise, look wise, lyric wise - and try to market your self to that management or record company as part of the puzzle they are missing to make em cee X - blow . . .
Just a thought . . . feel free to differ with me and discuss this in fuller detail!
