setup help

Hi all,
I want to use my k2000 as a sound source and midi controller in conjunction with my jd990 module and mpc3000 sequencer.

My connections are like this;

midi out k2k into midi in1 mpc
midi out"a" mpc into midi in k2k(midi xmit=midi or local off)
midi out"b" mpc into midi in jd990.

The problem i am having is, when i control from the k2k it plays on all other channels as well. I want the k2k to play on chan1,mpc on chan2,and jd990 on chan3
I think my midi settings somewhere are wrong

You already have "local off" set up on the 2k, check for "midi omni" and change it to the channel you want the 2k to respond to. (Can't help you on where in the menus that is, I don't own a 2k - also make sure the MPC is set to send only the channel you want the 2k to respond to, but records ALL channels.

As I don't own any of the above, I can't promise this will do it but it should... Steve
