Setup Help

I am almost finished with construction on my home studio and would like advice on the recording setup. I have decided on a current Mac Pro tower with two large monitors, Pro Tools 10/11, the MOTU 896mk3 and the MOTU 8pre. Want to record up to 16 simultaneous tracks (whole band). Besides figuring out how it works, is this enough to get me started or am I missing anything? Thx in advance.

You need mics, XLR cables, mic stands, instrument cables, DI boxes, pop filters, headphone amps, headphones, headphone extension cables, etc. Did you forget to mention those or do you not have any?

Sorry. Was trying to be short and to the point but left out a few things lol. I do have all of the above. Was thinking more along the lines of any other equipment I may need just to get started. I plan on adding better effects and preamps into the mix at a later date, but just looking for bare bones setup to start recording whole bands. Thanks.
