Hi All,
I would appreciate any help that anyone can offer (especially someone with a similar setup).
(Setup: I have my POD XT connected via USB to my Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) PC with a SB Audigy 2 sound card.)
I am setting up a PC for recording and I am having a bit of trouble getting things exactly the way I want them. Preferably, I would like to be able to record using my Pod XT USB connection, and playback my mix using my Audigy 2's output to my computer's regular well-balanced speaker system. While recording, I'd like to be able to monitor existing tracks (say: things I have recorded earlier), midi instruments and vst plugins (I use EZDrummer). I wouldn't mind at all if this came through the POD and I had to monitor it through my PODs headphone jack or regular outputs.
But it seems that the only way I can record using my POD XT is by using the ASIO drivers. When I have ASIO selected, neither EZDrummer nor pre-existing audio tracks will playback. I haven't played with MIDI yet.
How can I set up Sonar so I can record guitar via USB over (and while listening to) existing audio, MIDI and EZDrummer tracks?
Thanks!
