Hi, I just want to make sure I have everything set up correctly as I have switched from PC.

So I have a Macbook Pro unibody, RME Fireface 400, G-tech G-drive 500gb.

First question: What's the best way to daisy chain the firewire? Connecting the RME with the G-tech drive through fw400 and then the drive with the mac using fw800 (RME > G-tech > Mac)? The RME uses fw400, but the mac and the g-tech drive both have fw800. Will this yield a better track count? Or the order doesn't matter?

Second question: What goes on the Mac's drive and what on the external? Logic 9 and plugins on the Mac, and audio, project files, sample libraries on the G-tech? What about space designer impulse responses?

Thanks.
