Setting up Cool Edit for recording

Hi Everybody,

I am really very new to this sort of thing ... but could anybody tell me how I see the wave form whislt I am recording ... all I see is the red bars jumping up and down .... I would also like to see the wave.

Feel I need to check some box somewhere in 'Cool Edit' but can't seem to find it

Can anybody help me?

are you using the old cool edit 96 or cool edit pro ?

Recording in Cool Edit Pro

Hi,

I am recording in Cool Edit Pro .... I can see the wave form whislt recording in 'Multitrack' but can't see it in the 'Edit' mode ... but the tutorial, on the CD, clearly show the wave form whilst recording in Edit mode ... your help would be appreciated.

i could be wrong but as far as i knew you only saw waveform drawing
in multitrack mode. not edit mode. the former i would use for
recording and latter for editing.
