Setting buffer levels in SX2

what does this change when you screw with the ASIO buffer levels??? pro's cons... I'm using a Gadget labs interface that uses asio drivers. and im switching to a motu 24 i which they both use pci cards from the interfaces and i know this setting has something to do with both units, im just not sure as to what drivers the motu unit uses yet.

Set lower buffer to get lower latency, and less CPU power for tracks and plugs.

Set higher buffer and your'll get higher latency, and more CPU power.


I normall leave a low buffer when I'm tracking, then set to higher buffer at mix stage.

ok, thanks, i have a pretty powerful pc . so i don't think i've had any power issues so maybe thats why i hav't ran into any problems.
