Hi Everyone,

We would like to incorporate a laptop into our live show. Our laptop is running Cubase SX 2 and it is outputing audio into an Edirol Firewire FA-66. We are having trouble figuring out how to send one signal (music + the click track) to the headphones for our drummer, plus another signal (just music) to the house. This seems like a very easy problem to solve, and yet we are unable to figure out a way beyond actually recording an audio click track, and routing that in Cubase to a buss that will output from one of the Edirol's line outs. Is there no way to use Cubase's latent click and have that routed just to the headphone out?

Cheers,

There should be a way to pick which channel cubase uses as the click track channel (its straight forward in SX3, dont remember how to do it in SX 2)

Did SX2 have an audition bus? Cause in SX3 you would just change the audition bus to output to a different output.

Hi There,

Thanks for your quick replies! We are able to route the click to a different bus from the remaining audio, but we don't know how to route it to the headphones jack. Should we plug our drummer's headphones into one of the line outputs from the FA66? Won't that signal overwhelm the headphones?

Thanks again!
