Does anybody have any direct experience with those two mics ? I have Neumann U87, it is great for many things, but still sometimes more transparent and clear sound would be needed, also for stereo rather classical music recording in natural acoustics. I am thinking of one of those as a pair. I wonder whether someone is here is using them and has some comments and recommendations. Or maybe some other small capsule mics would be the same good for this purpose ?

I don't think too many people on the home recording board will have used the two specific Sennheisers you are asking about. It took me a few minutes even to find a description of them on the web. Are they widely used in Europe?

However, you might want to ask about people's experience with the Oktavas, the 180-series Neumanns, the AKG C1000s, the MBHOs and other small condensers for classical recording.

Alas, I have NO personal experience to offer, but I'm interested in the answers that others might offer for classical recordings.
